Senior Accountant
Bird, a global leader in micromobility, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This role is integral to managing the month-end close process, overseeing daily accounting operations, and ensuring accurate reconciliations of complex balance sheet accounts. The Senior Accountant will work closely with various departments to maintain financial integrity and support Bird's mission to transform urban mobility.
Key responsibilities include maintaining reconciliations of complex balance sheet accounts such as accrued liabilities, prepaid expenses, equity, and inventory/vehicles. The role also involves assisting in the preparation of financial statements, driving the development and implementation of new accounting processes and systems, and conducting financial analyses in partnership with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will provide management reporting, support treasury functions, and participate in ad hoc projects to meet the evolving needs of the finance department.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with over five years of progressive work experience. Proficiency in NetSuite or a similar ERP system and advanced Excel skills are essential. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desired. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive in resolving discrepancies, and capable of working collaboratively across departments.
Bird offers a competitive salary range of $74,100 to $88,100 per year for this position.
