Senior AI/ML Engineer (LLMs)
EvolutionIQ is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to join our dynamic team focused on advancing our industry-leading medical synthesis product. As a key contributor, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing AI-driven features that enhance the accuracy and efficiency of insurance claims processing. Our company is dedicated to delivering state-of-the-art technology that empowers claims teams to handle cases more effectively, ensuring that individuals impacted by injury or illness can resume their lives with dignity and stability.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and deploying AI-powered features that leverage large language models (LLMs) and statistical techniques to extract critical information from complex medical documents. Your day-to-day activities will include writing clean, scalable, and efficient code, optimizing the performance of existing AI/ML systems, and collaborating closely with data labelers and subject matter experts to evaluate and improve model outputs. Additionally, you will work alongside product teams to rapidly iterate on feedback and translate cutting-edge AI/ML research into reliable, production-grade solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience writing performant Python code following modern best practices and at least 1 year of experience building and deploying products powered by LLMs in fast-paced, professional environments. Hands-on experience with statistical machine learning techniques, as well as hybrid approaches combining LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and embeddings-based models, is essential. Proficiency in building and integrating API services within service-oriented or microservice architectures, along with strong skills in evaluating and interpreting LLM outputs, is also required.
We offer a competitive base salary range of $185,000 to $235,000, with flexibility depending on your background and experience.
