Senior Android Engineer, Consumer Mobile Platform
Wolt is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join our Consumer Mobile Platform team, which is part of the Consumer Product group. This team is responsible for delivering the consumer mobile applications used by millions across over 20 countries for ordering food and other products. As an AI-first team, we integrate AI-assisted workflows and developer agents to enhance productivity and reimagine feature development processes.
In this role, you will build the foundation of our top-rated consumer-facing applications, focusing on architecture robustness, observability, and developer experience. You will drive technical initiatives to foster engineering excellence, align with multiple stakeholders, and support product development teams by providing a robust platform that enables rapid feature deployment to our extensive customer base. Additionally, you will integrate AI-assisted developer workflows, build developer tooling and guardrails for AI assistants, and maintain the reliability of AI-assisted outputs through observability, testing, and review policies.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in Android development, a deep understanding of the Android ecosystem, and a strong interest in building maintainable and extensible Android platforms. Proficiency in end-to-end system design, CI/CD pipelines, and stakeholder management is essential. Strong communication skills and familiarity with driving initiatives across an engineering organization are also required. Experience or a strong interest in mobile observability and a keen eye for great user experience are advantageous. Enthusiasm for AI-first development and experience integrating AI tools into engineering workflows are highly valued.
