Senior Associate, Strategic Finance
The Senior Associate, Strategic Finance at Hut 8 will play a pivotal role in evaluating and executing a variety of strategic and financial initiatives, including financing activities, investment opportunities, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and other bespoke projects. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, contributing to high-impact corporate development activities within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining detailed financial models to support financing and investment decisions, conducting in-depth analyses of capital structures and financing scenarios, and developing valuation materials to aid executive decision-making. The role also involves participating in the full deal lifecycle—from initial ideation and strategic evaluation to structuring, diligence, negotiation, and close—while leading financial modeling and valuation work streams. Additionally, the Senior Associate will collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Energy Origination, Data Center Development, Treasury, Legal, Finance & Accounting, and Executive leadership to coordinate diligence processes and manage key deliverables.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, along with 1-2 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or a similar analytical role. Strong financial modeling skills, a deep understanding of corporate finance principles, and excellent problem-solving capabilities are essential. The role requires highly organized individuals with keen attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Experience with capital markets or investment banking transactions, as well as familiarity with treasury management, corporate structuring, or M&A transactions, is preferred.
