Senior Backend Engineers - Fintech Group
Wolt is seeking experienced Senior Backend Engineers to join our Fintech Group, a team dedicated to shaping the future of financial services within the company. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing production-level microservices that enable smooth and automated money flows for our customers, merchants, and courier partners. This position offers the opportunity to work in one of our tech hubs located in Helsinki, Finland; Stockholm, Sweden; or Timisoara, Romania.
In this role, you will be responsible for handling the entire development process, including business logic, testing, database and data streaming, continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), analytics, and cloud services. You will collaborate closely with your team to make architectural decisions and choose technologies that best fit Wolt's needs. Our main technology stack includes Golang (Echo), Kotlin (Ktor, Koin, Spring, gRPC), PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Redis, GitHub Actions, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
The ideal candidate will have experience with either Golang or Kotlin and a proven track record of managing the full development cycle through to production. We value individuals who can tackle significant challenges collaboratively, envision scalability and availability, and are willing to question conventional decisions. A quick grasp of new concepts and a passion for continuous learning are essential. Fluency in English is mandatory.
