Senior Cloud Platform Engineer
Graphcore is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join their Software Platform team in London, UK. This role focuses on developing and deploying cloud services on Graphcore's advanced AI systems, collaborating closely with Software Platform, Datacentre Operations, and Product Development teams. The position involves working with both proprietary AI hardware and off-the-shelf high-performance servers, switches, and storage solutions.
Key responsibilities include developing and operating high-performance Ethernet infrastructure within private clouds, translating end-user and product requirements into deployed services, and building automation tools to collect and analyze network metrics. The role also involves maintaining and tuning AI systems to ensure peak performance and integrating third-party products into Graphcore's Cloud Reference Design, emphasizing network performance, automation, and resilience.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field, significant hands-on experience with high-end (100Gb/s+) Ethernet switch solutions, and experience managing on-premises or private-cloud environments. Proficiency in Linux scripting (bash, python, awk, sed), Linux system administration (Ubuntu, RHEL and variants), and familiarity with version control systems (preferably Git) are essential. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code automation tools (Terraform/OpenTofu, Ansible) and container deployment tools (e.g., Docker) is also required.
