Canonical is seeking an energetic and creative Senior Communications Manager with experience in analyst relations to join our communications team. This role focuses on driving communications strategy through the analyst relations channel to enhance Canonical’s visibility among industry influencers and shape market perception. Canonical, the publisher of Ubuntu, serves a diverse customer base ranging from end users to startups, large enterprises, and governments, offering a broad portfolio based on trusted open source technologies.

The Senior Communications Manager will be responsible for preparing and executing analyst-focused communications plans for product announcements, new partnerships, and other initiatives aligned with our go-to-market strategy. This includes proactively utilizing new technologies like AI to analyze market trends and assess analyst perception and sentiment of Canonical and its products. The role also involves managing analyst relationships directly, coordinating touchpoints throughout the year through online briefings and industry events, and measuring the impact of the analyst relations program by reporting regularly on progress to leadership.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in communications with proven achievements in the analyst relations field and market research. Experience managing technology communications, either in an agency or in-house setting, or global analyst relations programs is essential. A track record of delivering innovative and successful communications campaigns in the technology space, particularly in cloud, SaaS, or open source technology, is highly desirable. Exceptional interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and a proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality are also required.
