Senior Compliance Specialist (AML Auditor)

The Senior Compliance Specialist will be responsible for developing annual or quarterly AML internal audit plans, defining sampling ratios and inspection cycles based on a risk-based approach, and designing standardized audit checklists and quality assurance metrics. They will conduct independent retrospective reviews of KYC onboarding, periodic reviews, and transaction monitoring alerts, validate adherence to internal SOPs and regulatory updates, and periodically verify the accuracy of sanction screening systems and monitoring models. Additionally, the role involves compiling audit findings into formal reports, tracking the progress of audit findings, overseeing the implementation of corrective actions, and reporting the health of the AML control environment to senior management.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience in internal auditing, compliance testing, AML review, or financial controls, preferably within banking or financial services. A strong understanding of audit methodologies, including risk assessment, sampling techniques, control testing, and documentation standards, is essential. Experience in AML/Compliance domains such as KYC, CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, or QA review is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple reviews simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
