The Senior Corporate Legal Counsel will play a pivotal role in enhancing Vention's compliance framework as the company continues to expand. This position involves proactively identifying risks, designing scalable compliance programs, and ensuring readiness for regulatory scrutiny across various jurisdictions. The role requires close collaboration with executive leadership, HR, Finance, Operations, and external counsel to integrate compliance practices throughout the organization.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining the company's global compliance framework, creating policies and internal controls, leading compliance risk assessments, and establishing governance processes suitable for a growing, multi-entity organization. The role also involves overseeing compliance with corporate, commercial, employment, and regulatory laws, monitoring evolving regulatory requirements, and preparing for financing due diligences, certification audits, and regulatory inquiries. Additionally, the Senior Corporate Legal Counsel will support board-level governance requirements, identify emerging regulatory risks, and build scalable internal controls.

Candidates should possess 6–8+ years of legal experience, either in a law firm or in-house setting, with a strong background in corporate compliance and regulatory matters. Experience in designing or managing compliance programs within scaling organizations and leading internal investigations is essential. The role requires strong business judgment and the ability to balance legal risks with operational realities. Membership in the Quebec bar is mandatory.
