Senior Counsel (Complex Trial)

Tyson & Mendes LLP, a nationwide AV-rated litigation firm specializing in insurance defense, is seeking a Senior Counsel to join their Complex Trial Team in Orange County, California. In this role, the Senior Counsel will lead complex insurance defense cases, including those involving catastrophic injury, wrongful death, property damage, and professional liability. Responsibilities encompass developing and executing case strategies, managing all litigation stages, providing client advisement, and serving as lead counsel in trials and mediations. Additionally, the Senior Counsel will mentor junior attorneys and collaborate with expert witnesses to strengthen case arguments.

Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school, an active license to practice in California, and over eight years of experience in insurance defense litigation with a focus on complex trials. A proven track record as lead trial counsel in high-stakes cases, strong knowledge of civil procedure, and exceptional oral advocacy skills are essential. Experience in catastrophic injury, construction defect, or professional liability cases is preferred.
