Senior Counsel, Legal & Business Affairs
Global Citizen is seeking a Senior Counsel to join its Legal & Business Affairs team. This role is integral to supporting the organization's mission to end extreme poverty by 2030. The Senior Counsel will work closely with the General Counsel and other senior leaders to provide comprehensive legal guidance across various departments.
The Senior Counsel will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts, including those related to partnerships, sponsorships, and events. They will also advise on intellectual property matters, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and manage legal risks associated with Global Citizen's operations. Additionally, the Senior Counsel will collaborate with external legal counsel as needed and contribute to the development of organizational policies and procedures.
Ideal candidates will have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and a minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate or nonprofit legal practice. Experience in entertainment law, intellectual property, and contract negotiation is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively are essential. A passion for social justice and familiarity with Global Citizen's mission and initiatives will be advantageous.
