Senior Counsel
Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking a Senior Counsel to join our Tallahassee, Florida office. The Senior Counsel will be responsible for developing compelling case themes, independently handling court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials, and collaborating effectively with team members across various experience levels. Key duties include routine client communications, cultivating relationships with current and prospective clients, and providing leadership and mentorship to less experienced attorneys.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor from an ABA-approved law school and hold an active bar license in the State of Florida. A minimum of eight years of solid litigation experience, particularly in litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation, is required. Experience in insurance defense matters is preferred. Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, along with strong time management skills, is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently, exhibit outstanding communication skills, and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
The base salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with additional tiers aggregating at $7,500 each.
