Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking a Senior Counsel to join their Jacksonville, Florida office. This role offers an opportunity to lead high-exposure cases within a firm renowned for its innovative approach to insurance defense and trial advocacy. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to delivering exceptional results and advancing the firm's mission to prevent Nuclear Verdicts®.

The Senior Counsel will be responsible for developing compelling case themes, independently handling court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials, and working collaboratively with attorneys at all experience levels. Key duties include routine client communications, cultivating relationships with current and prospective clients, and providing leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys.

Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor from an ABA-approved law school and hold an active bar license in Florida. A minimum of eight years of solid litigation experience, particularly in litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation, is required. Experience in insurance defense matters is preferred. The role demands proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as strong time management skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently, exhibit outstanding communication skills, and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

The base salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with additional tiers available.
