Senior Data Scientist, Courier

Wolt is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join its Courier Analytics Team, focusing on enhancing logistics efficiency and delivery experiences within its three-sided marketplace. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize routing, task assignments, and delivery time predictions, contributing to Wolt's mission of delivering an exceptional service to couriers and customers alike.

Key responsibilities include leading logistics analytics initiatives, conducting in-depth analyses and controlled experiments to understand marketplace dynamics, and promoting a data-driven culture by advocating for statistical rigor in decision-making processes. The position also requires close collaboration with Product, Design, Engineering, and Operations teams to integrate data insights into their workflows.

Candidates should have over five years of experience in analytics or data science roles, with proficiency in SQL and Python or R. Experience in designing and analyzing A/B tests, knowledge of quasi-experimental methodologies, and a strong understanding of causal inference models are essential. Additionally, experience in creating data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Tableau, Mixpanel, or Looker is required.
