Senior Data Scientist, Revenue and Business
Mozilla is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join its Revenue Data Science team, which collaborates closely with Business Development and Finance to assess revenue growth opportunities and translate usage data into actionable business insights. This role is pivotal in guiding strategic decisions and shaping the long-term growth strategy for Firefox.
The Senior Data Scientist will be responsible for evaluating and comparing multiple revenue growth opportunities to inform prioritization, investment decisions, and negotiation strategies. They will develop analytical frameworks to assess trade-offs, risks, and expected impacts across competing options. Additionally, the role involves producing executive-ready reports and dashboards that distill complex analyses into concise, decision-oriented narratives, as well as designing measurement plans to evaluate new growth initiatives and validate assumptions over time.
Candidates should have over six years of experience in data science, analytics, or applied quantitative roles, with a proven track record of influencing business decisions through data. Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for analysis, modeling, and validation is required. Strong business judgment and stakeholder management skills are essential, including the ability to assess trade-offs and challenge assumptions when necessary. Practical experience with statistical analysis and experiment design applied to real-world business problems is also expected.
