Applike is seeking a (Senior) DevOps Engineer to join their Cloud Engineering team in Hamburg. This team is responsible for managing a hybrid infrastructure that processes over 5 billion daily API requests, combining AWS managed services with self-hosted open-source technologies like Kubernetes and Apache projects. The role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on redefining mobile advertising through advanced AI and first-party data.

The successful candidate will design and implement solutions utilizing various AWS services and open-source technologies. Responsibilities include supporting developers in building high-performance backends with Go, collaborating with experts from diverse technological backgrounds, and working with a tech stack that includes DruidDB, Kafka, DynamoDB, AirFlow, Apache Spark, RDS, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitLab, ECS, EMR, Lambda, complex CI/CD pipelines, Prometheus, data pipelines, and Go. Additionally, the role involves migrating parts of the architecture to newly deployed Kubernetes and Kafka clusters, introducing Apache Spark or Flink, and setting up hosted object storage solutions.

Applicants should have over three years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, or Platform Engineer, with extensive experience in Kubernetes and the AWS ecosystem. A strong understanding of microservice architecture, CI/CD tools, and infrastructure as code with Terraform is essential. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and a willingness to relocate to Hamburg, Germany.
