Senior Engineering Manager - Business Solutions Engineering
As the Senior Engineering Manager for Business Solutions Engineering at Canva, you will lead a team dedicated to transforming internal operations through AI and automation. This role is pivotal in shifting IT from a traditional tooling function to a strategic transformation partner, enabling scalable impact across the company.
Your primary responsibilities include setting the direction and priorities for the Business Solutions Engineering team, delivering high-impact transformation initiatives, and building deep partnerships with leaders across Finance, People, Legal, and Go-To-Market teams to address complex operational challenges. You will oversee the end-to-end solution delivery process, from discovery and design to production-grade implementation, while coaching and growing a multidisciplinary engineering team to uphold high standards and effective ways of working.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong hands-on software engineering background with experience in building production systems in complex environments. You should have a proven track record of leading and scaling high-performing engineering teams, expertise in system integration and APIs across platforms like Salesforce or Workday, and substantial cloud experience with AWS and/or GCP. Familiarity with AI/ML or automation technologies in real-world applications is essential, along with exceptional stakeholder management skills to translate business needs into technical solutions and influence senior leaders.
