Senior Engineering Manager, Grafana Frontend | Spain | Remote
Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Frontend Platform and Navigation squads for Grafana, an open-source observability product. This role involves overseeing the performance, delivery, and customer outcomes of these distributed engineering teams. In this position, you will be responsible for setting clear expectations, delegating effectively, coaching team members, and fostering a culture of trust and accountability. You will collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering leaders to set priorities, resolve dependencies, and make trade-offs between customer needs, long-term investments, and operational demands. Additionally, you will lead discovery efforts by engaging directly with customers, community members, and internal users to inform roadmaps and priorities.
The ideal candidate should have experience in leading distributed engineering teams, with a strong background in frontend development and observability platforms. Proficiency in setting engineering direction for frontend foundations, including developer experience, accessibility, architecture, tooling, reliability, and multitenant capabilities, is essential. Experience in adopting AI and automation across engineering and operational workflows to improve delivery speed, quality, and efficiency is also highly desirable.
