Senior Enterprise Risk Management ("ERM") Analyst
Marqeta is seeking a Senior Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Analyst to join their risk team in Toronto or Vancouver, Canada. This role is integral to shaping how Marqeta identifies, assesses, and monitors risks across the organization. The successful candidate will drive the design and implementation of a modern ERM framework that integrates risk management principles, advanced analytics, and financial quantification to protect the company and enable risk-balanced growth. This position is remote-friendly within Ontario and British Columbia, Canada.
In this role, the Senior ERM Analyst will be responsible for developing and maturing the ERM framework in partnership with the VP of Risk, ensuring alignment with industry standards such as COSO. They will facilitate enterprise-wide risk workshops to identify emerging threats across various domains, maintain the Enterprise Risk Register, and track Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) using advanced visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau. Additionally, the analyst will define and operationalize risk treatment programs, assist in implementing Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) system solutions, and prepare quarterly risk dashboards and audit-ready documentation for senior management and risk committees. Collaboration across the "three lines of defense" is essential to integrate risk management into day-to-day operations and decision-making processes.
Candidates should have over five years of experience in risk, audit, or compliance roles, preferably within regulated and financial technology-centric environments. A deep understanding of modern GRC platforms and experience integrating AI/automation into risk workflows are essential. Proficiency in dashboard and KRI development, including experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker, is required. The ideal candidate will possess a foundation of integrity and strong character, with the ability to foster a proactive, risk-aware culture and influence cross-functional stakeholders in decision-making. A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field is preferred, along with professional certifications such as CRMP, CRM, CISA, or IRM qualifications.
Marqeta offers a competitive base salary range of CAD 83,600 to CAD 104,500 for this position, with annual bonuses based on individual and company performance.
