Senior Finance Specialist

Wolt is seeking a Senior Finance Specialist to join our Finance team in Budapest, Hungary. As a rapidly growing technology company operating in over 500 cities across 30 countries, we are expanding our delivery services beyond restaurant food to encompass a wide range of products. In 2022, Wolt joined forces with DoorDash, further accelerating our global growth. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The Senior Finance Specialist will be responsible for General Ledger Accounting for designated entities, processing primary accounting documents, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of these documents. Key duties include implementing and adhering to group accounting policies, performing balance sheet reconciliations, conducting month-end closing activities, assisting in the preparation of financial statements, supporting various stakeholders with accounting-related inquiries, handling audit requests, and preparing regulatory reports.

The ideal candidate will have over three years of relevant accounting experience, with a solid understanding of IFRS and local GAAP, including experience in preparing financial statements. A degree in Finance or Accounting is required, and prior experience with NetSuite is advantageous. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in English are essential. Candidates must be eligible to work in the European Union, as we do not support new permits or visas.
