Senior Finance Systems Engineer: Oracle Fusion

Block is seeking a Senior Finance Systems Engineer specializing in Oracle Fusion to lead the transformation of our financial technology infrastructure. This role is integral to enhancing the scalability and efficiency of our financial systems, including Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). As part of Block's Finance team, you will collaborate with cross-functional groups to drive innovation and operational excellence.

In this position, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining robust data models and solution architectures across Oracle Financial Accounting Hub (FAH), General Ledger (GL), Subledger Accounting (SLA), and Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP). You will lead the integration of accounting systems with data lakes and internal applications, utilizing SQL, PL/SQL, and integration technologies such as REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML. A key aspect of the role is to implement AI-assisted development tools to automate financial workflows, thereby improving delivery velocity and reducing manual operational overhead.

Ideal candidates will have proven hands-on experience configuring, customizing, and supporting Oracle FAH, GL, SLA, and BIP. Strong proficiency in relational databases, advanced SQL/PL/SQL, and web services is essential. Experience in accounting process transformations, financial data modeling, and end-to-end solution architecture is highly desirable. A pragmatic problem-solving approach, with the ability to navigate complex organizational dependencies and streamline processes, is crucial.
