Senior Flight Test Engineer, Intel Systems
Anduril Industries is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Senior Flight Test Engineer to join our Reston, Virginia office. In this role, you will support the Anduril Frontier Systems division, focusing primarily on flight systems within the Intelligence Systems business line. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with program leadership, supporting companies, and government partners to advance cutting-edge defense technologies.
As a Senior Flight Test Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and executing system-level test and evaluation (T&E) activities for both hardware and software components. Your duties will include resource planning, conducting ground and flight tests, improving testing processes, and participating in technical test reviews. You will also support testing at private and government-owned test ranges, work closely with engineering teams to discuss test results, and perform initial data analysis for systems under test. Ensuring safe operations in accordance with established procedures is a critical aspect of this role.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline and have a current Top Secret Security Clearance. A minimum of 8 years of test engineering experience or comparable skills, such as military exercise planning and evaluation, is required. Candidates should have the ability to travel as needed for planning and testing, approximately 25-50% of the time. Proficiency in executing the full test engineering process for complex systems, including requirements, test planning, readiness reviews, safety reviews, test execution, and reporting, with minimal oversight, is essential. Experience producing customer-facing test deliverables and serving as a test conductor or director during testing is also required. The ability to quickly understand new concepts, solve problems across various engineering areas, and work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
Anduril Industries offers a competitive salary range for this role, estimated between $146,000 and $210,000 annually.
