Senior HR Generalist - EMEA
Canonical is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to join its globally distributed team, focusing on the EMEA region. This role offers the opportunity to shape and enhance HR functions within a leading open-source software company known for its Ubuntu platform. The position is remote, aligning with Canonical's commitment to a distributed work environment.
The Senior HR Generalist will be responsible for delivering precise and compliant HR operations, including talent development, succession planning, performance assessments, onboarding, and engagement initiatives. Collaborating closely with the EMEA HR Manager and the Global Head of HR, the role involves partnering with managers on performance management, organizational design, employee engagement, rewards, and workforce planning. Additionally, the position entails coaching managers on employee relations across multiple countries and driving diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Candidates should possess an exceptional academic track record and have experience leading HR initiatives across regions within a technology business. Regional HR experience within EMEA, particularly in France, Germany, and/or the UK, with an understanding of local labor laws, is advantageous. The role requires strong project management skills, experience in a remote-first organization, and fluency in business English. A self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented approach is essential.
