Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Peregrine Technologies is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design and implement the infrastructure powering their AI-enabled platform. This role involves building highly available and secure production systems, architecting scalable network topologies, and supporting massive data processing. The position is based in San Francisco, CA, and offers a salary range of $170,000 to $250,000 annually, along with benefits and potential equity.

Key responsibilities include developing cloud-based network systems across diverse customer environments, ensuring platform and data security, and managing terabytes of data. The engineer will work with technologies such as AWS GovCloud, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Pulumi, PostgreSQL, Redshift, and Elasticsearch.

Candidates should have over 8 years of experience in building and maintaining complex infrastructure for web applications with strict uptime requirements. Expertise in modern software development practices, including deployments, CI/CD, data management, security, and distributed systems, is essential. Proficiency in Python for developing APIs and automation tools, as well as experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi, is required.
