Senior Instrument Systems Engineer

Muon Space is seeking a Senior Instrument Systems Engineer to join their team in Mountain View or San Jose, CA, focusing on infrared remote sensing instruments. This role is integral to the instrument engineering team, overseeing development from concept through on-orbit operations for national security missions. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated engineer with a versatile skill set, comfortable working across various technical depths from individual components to system levels. Previous experience in developing and operating infrared electro-optical systems, remote sensing instruments, and test infrastructure in fast-paced, small-team environments is preferred.
