Senior IT Internal Auditor
The Senior IT Internal Auditor at is responsible for conducting process, financial, compliance, and technology audits in line with IIA and ISACA standards. This role focuses on evaluating the design and operational effectiveness of the company's IT controls to support management's SOX compliance efforts and integrated business process reviews. The position reports directly to the IT Audit Manager.
Key responsibilities include assisting in the planning, execution, and reporting of technology audit projects, reviewing IT and operational risks to determine audit scope, and executing corporate IT audit projects to assess internal control processes and operational performance. The auditor will also identify opportunities for control and process improvements during IT system implementations, perform walkthroughs and testing procedures to assess SOX compliance, and provide reports to management. Additionally, the role involves tracking remediation efforts to ensure timely resolution of audit findings and collaborating with external auditors and consultants to ensure effective audit procedures.
Candidates must possess a BS in Accounting or Information Systems and have a minimum of 3 years of relevant IT audit experience, with experience in a Big 4 or national accounting firm or public company being a plus. A CISA, CISSP, or other relevant certification is required. Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, is essential. A solid understanding of the COBIT framework and concepts related to information systems audit, including security and control risks, is necessary. Strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and effective time management and organizational skills are also required. A willingness to travel approximately 10% is expected.
