Senior Legal Counsel

Reporting to the General Counsel, as Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll be a key legal leader driving strategic legal initiatives across Faraday Future’s global operations. You’ll collaborate with senior leadership, oversee outside counsel, and serve as a principal advisor on securities filings, governance, legal compliance, contract review and negotiation, and internal investigations.
Responsibilities include assisting in the creation of a compliant legal system suitable for a public company, leading public company compliance requirements and SEC filings, managing government reporting on various compliance matters, reviewing all contracts including supply chain contracts, consulting agreements, securities purchase agreements, and NDAs. Additionally, you will counsel company management on legal and ethical compliance laws, develop and implement comprehensive programs for legal and ethical compliance, and manage other legal functions that support corporate internal operations including IP and labor.
Basic qualifications include a law degree (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited institution, membership in good standing with the California state bar, and a minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably a mix of in-house corporate legal counsel and law firm experience. Public company experience is preferred. Candidates must have experience in one of the following industries: high-tech consumer electronics, internet AI, or automotive. A strong knowledge of securities laws and regulations, experience with SEC filings, and familiarity with corporate governance and corporate housekeeping matters are essential. Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements is also required.
Preferred qualifications include some intellectual property and litigation experience, experience responding to employment-related inquiries, and a strong knowledge of employment and labor law. The ability to support the development and maintenance of company policies and procedures designed to minimize legal and compliance risks is important. Experience assisting with internal investigations and fluency in Mandarin are also preferred.
