Senior Legal Counsel

Intuitive is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their dynamic team, focusing on commercial legal support, regulatory compliance, and healthcare professional (HCP) compliance. This role is integral to advancing Intuitive's mission of enhancing minimally invasive care through innovative technology.

The Senior Legal Counsel will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various commercial contracts, including procurement agreements, HCP engagement contracts, and data sharing arrangements. They will provide practical legal advice to commercial and cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies. Additionally, the role involves monitoring relevant legal and regulatory developments, particularly in areas related to HCP compliance, privacy, and anti-competition laws.

Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and be a member in good standing with the California bar or eligible for immediate registration as a Registered In-House Counsel. A minimum of six years of experience in intellectual property law, with a substantial focus on patent prosecution, is required. Experience in managing patent portfolios and handling IP-related transactions is strongly preferred. A technical background in medical devices, robotics, or mechanical engineering is advantageous.
