Senior Legal Counsel, Product

Vercel is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join its dynamic team in San Francisco. This role focuses on providing comprehensive legal support throughout the product development lifecycle, collaborating closely with Engineering, Product, Design, and Security teams to drive innovation while managing legal risks effectively.

The Senior Legal Counsel will serve as a primary legal advisor during product development, offering strategic guidance on issues related to privacy, data security, marketing, competition, and intellectual property. Responsibilities include developing scalable processes, drafting and maintaining legal templates, and supporting sales and procurement through contract negotiations.

Candidates should possess at least 8 years of legal experience, with a minimum of 4 years in-house at a software technology company. A strong technical background, preferably in computer science or software engineering, is essential. Admission to the California Bar or eligibility for Registered In-House Counsel status is required.

The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $270,000 to $300,000, depending on experience and location. Additional compensation includes equity, a comprehensive healthcare package, flexible time off, and professional development opportunities.
