PlayStation Global is seeking a Senior Lighting Artist for a one-year contract position based in Montreal, Quebec. This role is part of Haven Studios, a division of Sony Interactive Entertainment, which joined the PlayStation Studios family in 2022. The team is dedicated to developing an exclusive new IP for PlayStation, aiming to deliver a AAA competitive action game where players and their crews engage in daring heists and outsmart rivals.

The Senior Lighting Artist will be responsible for creating, implementing, and refining lighting for game environments and gameplay spaces, aligning with the project's artistic vision. This includes establishing mood, tone, and visual storytelling through purposeful lighting, collaborating closely with Environment Art, Gameplay, VFX, and Technical Art teams to achieve cohesive visual results. The role also involves balancing artistic quality with performance and technical constraints in a real-time production environment, as well as supporting scene optimization, iteration, and final visual polish throughout development.

Candidates should have professional experience as a Lighting Artist in game development, particularly with Unreal Engine 5. A strong understanding of dynamic and baked lighting, color theory, composition, atmosphere, and cinematic storytelling is essential. Experience in lighting environments within modern real-time engines and working within production pipelines is required. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, visual consistency, and player readability, along with the ability to take direction, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute effectively within a remote team environment.
