Senior Litigation Attorney

Wilson Elser is seeking a proactive and highly skilled Senior Litigation Attorney to join our Chicago, IL office. This role involves representing a large international logistics services provider, offering the opportunity to work on challenging cases and emerging legal issues alongside talented colleagues nationwide.

The Senior Litigation Attorney will proactively manage a litigation caseload, overseeing cases from inception to resolution. Responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, attending court hearings, depositions, and mediations, and actively participating in trials, including preparation and courtroom appearances. The role also involves negotiating settlements and collaborating effectively with colleagues across departments and offices.

Candidates must possess a JD from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted to practice in Illinois. A minimum of 15 years of general casualty litigation experience is required, with first and/or second chair trial experience strongly desired. Experience in general liability, premises liability, products liability, construction, and transportation is essential, along with superior analytical skills and proficiency in deposition and motion practice.

The position offers a salary range of $190,000 to $200,000, along with an outstanding benefits package, including a 401(k) match and a generous PTO plan.
