Day-to-day, the Senior Machine Learning Engineer will be responsible for creating, deploying, and optimizing advanced ML models that drive automation and personalization in Canva’s Brand Templates product space. Core responsibilities include partnering with product managers and data scientists to understand business requirements, designing novel ML approaches for recommendation systems and automated content solutions, and maintaining robust, scalable production systems. The role also involves analyzing large datasets, performing A/B testing, and delivering insights to enhance user experience and engagement.
Candidates must have a deep background in machine learning, data science, or a related technical field, with substantial experience developing production-level ML systems. Proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar is required.
