Senior Machine Learning Engineer
FanDuel is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our Data Engineering team in New York City. In this role, you will leverage vast amounts of real-time and relational data to provide business insights and deliver personalized experiences to our customers. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with engineering teams to build online applications and work with Data Scientists and Analysts to productionize AI-powered insights.
Your primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing intelligent search systems that incorporate typeahead search, vector search, and machine learning personalization models to optimize relevance and user experience. You will contribute to the development of scalable serving systems for machine learning and generative AI models, and develop platform features to streamline the development and deployment lifecycle of these models. Additionally, you will work with business intelligence tools, ensure data security and privacy compliance, and oversee data governance and testing frameworks.
The ideal candidate will have 5-7+ years of experience developing code in core programming languages such as Python or Java. You should have at least one year of experience implementing vector search, semantic search, or embedding-based retrieval systems for production machine learning or AI applications. Experience with typeahead/autocomplete systems and integrating machine learning signals into query understanding or ranking workflows is also required. Additionally, you should have experience deploying machine learning and generative AI models with a focus on scalability, correctness, and maintainability.
FanDuel offers a competitive salary range of $138,000 to $173,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
