Senior Manager, Analytics and Insight (Hybrid)
The Senior Manager of Analytics & Insights at Weedmaps will lead a team dedicated to transforming data into actionable intelligence and strategic recommendations across the organization. This role is integral to the Data organization, reporting directly to the VP of Data, and serves as a crucial link between technical data infrastructure and business decision-making. The position is based in Austin, TX, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring two days on-site per week.
Key responsibilities include defining and executing the analytics strategy across business intelligence, analytics, and data science functions to align with company objectives. The role involves owning the organization's metrics framework to ensure consistency and accuracy of key performance indicators. Additionally, the Senior Manager will lead the development of self-service analytics capabilities, such as dashboard infrastructure and AI-powered tools, and drive proactive strategic insights to enhance decision-making across the business.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field, with a master's degree preferred. A minimum of 8 years of experience in product analytics, business intelligence, or a related field is required, including at least 3 years in a management role. Strong proficiency in SQL and familiarity with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake and transformation frameworks such as dbt are essential. Experience managing mixed-discipline teams, including analysts, data scientists, and BI engineers, is also necessary.
The base salary for this position ranges from $185,984 to $239,246 per year.
