Senior Partner Sales Manager - Global System Integrator (GSI)
Canonical is seeking a Senior Partner Sales Manager to collaborate with Global System Integrators (GSIs) in promoting Ubuntu-based solutions and driving digital transformation initiatives. This role involves building strategic relationships with partners at all levels, from engineers to CxO, to enhance market share and facilitate the adoption of Ubuntu technologies. The position is home-based, offering a globally distributed work environment.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining trusted relationships with GSI partners, negotiating contracts and commercial terms, and leading executive engagements between partners and Canonical's leadership team. The role also involves conducting customer workshops, attending sales events, and delivering public presentations to support partner sales cycles and organizational objectives.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in alliance or indirect sales management roles, particularly with OpenStack, virtualization, containers, and other cloud technologies. A deep understanding of Linux and the cloud software ecosystem, along with open-source selling models, is essential. The role requires an autonomous, disciplined, and proactive approach, with excellent communication and presentation skills. The ability to travel internationally up to 40% of the time is also necessary.
