Senior Privacy Engineer
Robinhood, a leading fintech company committed to democratizing finance, is seeking a Senior Privacy Engineer to join its Privacy Engineering team. This team is integral to the Security & Privacy Engineering division, collaborating across the organization to ensure that Robinhood's products and services uphold the highest standards of user privacy. The role is based in New York, NY, with in-person attendance expected at least three days per week.
As a Senior Privacy Engineer, you will lead the development of new privacy features, tools, and scalable solutions. Your responsibilities will include embedding with engineering and product teams to ensure transparent data collection practices, conducting technical, product, and policy reviews to identify privacy concerns, and partnering with various teams such as Engineering, Product, Compliance, and Legal to advocate for privacy-preserving solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in software, privacy, or security engineering, with experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages. Familiarity with privacy principles and technologies, including privacy by design, user data protection, GDPR, CCPA, data inventory, DLP, encryption, anonymization, and privacy impact assessments, is essential. Experience with threat modeling, data anonymization and classification, auditing access to data, and reviewing requests for data access is also required.
Compensation for this role includes a base salary ranging from $187,000 to $220,000 annually, depending on experience and location. Additional benefits encompass parental leave, health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, disability insurance, and paid holidays.
