Senior Product Counsel

Glean is seeking a Senior Product Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide strategic legal guidance on product development, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to address legal considerations in the product lifecycle.

Your key responsibilities will include reviewing and advising on product features, drafting and negotiating contracts, and managing legal risks associated with product initiatives. You will also stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes to proactively address potential legal issues. Additionally, you will mentor junior legal team members and contribute to the development of internal policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and at least 8 years of experience in product counseling, intellectual property, open source, and related areas at a software company, ideally in the AI and B2B SaaS space. Strong knowledge of privacy laws, artificial intelligence, and compliance regulations is essential. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work cross-functionally, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are also required.
