The Senior QA Automation Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Mesh's Web3 experiences.
In this role, the Senior QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing and maintaining robust end-to-end test automation frameworks using tools like Playwright. They will develop test strategies covering the full stack, including UI, API, smart contract interactions, and wallet flows. The engineer will write and maintain tests for Web3-specific user journeys, integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines, and leverage AI-powered development tools to accelerate test authoring and framework development. Additionally, they will identify gaps in test coverage, prioritize improvements, and champion a quality culture across the engineering organization.
Candidates should have over seven years of experience in QA engineering with a strong focus on automation. Proficiency in Playwright and/or Cypress is essential, along with experience designing and scaling test frameworks from the ground up. A solid understanding of CI/CD practices and integrating tests into pipelines is required. Familiarity with core Web3 concepts, such as wallets, transaction signing, smart contracts, and on-chain/off-chain interactions, is necessary. Experience testing decentralized applications (dApps) and writing tests that interact with or simulate blockchain state is highly desirable. An active, hands-on user of AI code generation and developer tools is also preferred.
The annual base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $200,000 in San Francisco and New York. Compensation may vary based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. For candidates outside of San Francisco and New York, compensation will be adjusted to reflect the applicable market and location-based pay band. The base salary range listed excludes commission (if applicable), equity, and benefits.
