Senior Regulatory Legal Counsel
KRAFTON Americas is seeking a Senior Regulatory Legal Counsel to lead and advise on complex regulatory matters, including privacy, age verification, online safety, consumer protection, age-appropriate design, competitions, user-generated content, blockchain, payments, and artificial intelligence. This role involves close collaboration with senior stakeholders and offers the opportunity to help shape legal strategy for a fast-moving, continually evolving global business.
Key responsibilities include leading complex legal matters and providing strategic legal advice across jurisdictions, drafting or reviewing terms of service, privacy policies, end-user license agreements, rules of conduct, and competition rules. The role also involves product counseling, responding to regulatory inquiries, educating stakeholders on legal obligations and strategy, ensuring alignment with global standards on data protection and AI governance, managing external counsel, and developing global policies and compliance programs.
The ideal candidate will have a J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar, with over seven years of legal experience, including time in a leading law firm or in-house legal department for a global company. Deep expertise in regulatory compliance areas such as privacy, online safety, and consumer protection is essential. The candidate should possess excellent judgment, analytical capabilities, and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable advising senior executives and influencing business strategy.
In California, the expected salary range for this position is $147,000 to $202,000. The listed expected salary range represents a good faith estimate, and the actual pay may depend on a variety of job-related factors, including experience, education, skills, and location.
