The Senior Sales Engineer at The Lake Companies is a pivotal client-facing role that anchors the technical aspects of the sales process. Collaborating closely with Sales Executives, this position involves managing complex sales cycles, from in-depth discovery and needs analysis to tailored demonstrations, proof-of-concept engagements, and proposal support. The role is integral in connecting manufacturers' operational challenges to precisely scoped solutions offered by The Lake Companies.

Key responsibilities include leading technical pre-sales activities, such as conducting discovery conversations with stakeholders across Operations, IT, Engineering, Finance, and Executive teams to identify critical business issues and current processes. The Senior Sales Engineer will design and deliver customized product demonstrations of SyteLine, Shop-Trak, Doc-Trak, Fact-Trak, and APS-ME, directly addressing each prospect's specific pain points and objectives. Additionally, the role involves developing and executing proof-of-concept engagements for complex or high-value opportunities, configuring demo environments, and preparing scenario-specific data to maximize relevance and impact.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or solutions consulting within the manufacturing technology, ERP, or industrial software space is required. Deep working knowledge of Infor SyteLine (CloudSuite Industrial) or a comparable manufacturing ERP is essential, along with a demonstrated track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder technical sales engagements from discovery through close. Strong communication skills are necessary to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences, including C-suite executives, operations managers, and IT leaders.

The Lake Companies offers a competitive base salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, with additional commissions.
