Senior Software Engineer (C++)
As a Senior Software Engineer at PlayStation, you will be instrumental in developing high-performance C/C++ services that enhance real-time experiences across consoles, servers, and web platforms. This role is based in Aliso Viejo, CA, and offers a hybrid work environment with 2–3 days onsite per week. You will join a collaborative team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of gaming technology and delivering exceptional experiences to millions of users worldwide.
In this position, you will design, build, and maintain robust C/C++ services integral to PlayStation's ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include developing features utilized across various platforms, managing code from design through deployment in Linux environments, and optimizing complex, distributed systems. Participation in design and code reviews, as well as engaging in technical discussions with a global team, will be key aspects of your daily work.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, along with over six years of experience in modern C/C++ development for production systems. Proficiency in Linux for development, testing, and deployment is essential, as is experience with build and version control tools such as CMake and Git. Strong debugging skills in large codebases and performance-critical paths are also required.
PlayStation offers a competitive compensation package, with an estimated base pay range of $177,300 to $265,900 USD.
