Canonical is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Kubernetes product team. In this role, you will develop operators and addons that provide complete lifecycle management of mission-critical components and facilitate seamless integration of projects into Kubernetes environments. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely within the EMEA and Americas regions.

Key responsibilities include writing high-quality code to create new features, debugging issues, and engaging with a vibrant community. You will collaborate proactively with a distributed team, mentor and advise colleagues on their career progression, and assume joint responsibility for outcomes at the team, department, and company levels. The role also involves global travel for internal and external events, approximately 2 to 4 weeks per year.

The ideal candidate is proficient in Golang and fluent in Python, with experience in Kubernetes. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar field is required. A passion for technology and working with brilliant people is highly valued.
