Senior Software Engineer - Sponsored Listings (Fullstack)
StubHub is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Sponsored Listings team in New York, NY. This hybrid role involves designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining both frontend and backend improvements across StubHub's platforms. The Sponsored Listings team focuses on enhancing the discovery experience by advertising high-quality, relevant products throughout the platform. The team is building StubHub's ad platform engine, which includes real-time bidding, auction mechanics, ranking and relevance models, pacing algorithms, and inventory-quality controls, all operating at marketplace scale.
In this role, you will collaborate with team members to ensure best practices across the codebase, manage individual initiative priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, and mentor other team members to help increase their technical capabilities. You will be expected to design and develop impactful improvements that span both frontend and backend code, resulting in high-quality outcomes. Additionally, you will foster a culture of inclusion, results-oriented execution, open innovation, and limitless creativity within the team.
Candidates should have 5–6+ years of professional experience in product-facing software development, with at least 4 years of in-depth experience with React and relevant toolsets/framework ecosystems. Extensive experience developing robust, mission-critical systems using multiple general-purpose programming languages, such as Java or C#, is required. Demonstrated expertise in building software with one or more of the following: product-facing software development, distributed systems, is essential. A strong understanding of how systems interact with the broader production environment, including dependencies and platform primitives, is necessary. Proven ability to learn other coding languages, platforms, frameworks, and tools, as well as experience owning projects from the initial idea through production, are also important.
The compensation package includes a base salary ranging from $200,000 to $250,000 USD, with additional equity and benefits. Benefits include unlimited flexible time off, 401(k), and premium health, vision, and dental insurance options. Paid parental leave and comprehensive health benefits are also provided. The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
