Senior Software Infrastructure Engineer
As a Senior Software Infrastructure Engineer at Graphcore, you will play a pivotal role in scaling and managing our infrastructure. You will develop essential tools and services that empower our broader software team, enhancing the build, test, deployment, and productization processes of our Machine Learning Software components. This position offers the opportunity to work with our High-Performance Computing (HPC) AI platforms and gain invaluable experience in distributed systems.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include developing, owning, and maintaining tools and services to support the software build and release process. You will deploy and maintain services using Kubernetes and Docker, and manage our cloud infrastructure utilizing tools such as Terraform. Additionally, you will support the technical development of junior and graduate engineers, embodying a strong engineering discipline for high reliability and minimal toil.
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of Python, Go, or C++ (or similar languages), experience deploying services in the cloud (preferably AWS), a deep understanding of Linux environments, and proficiency in CI/CD for production deployments. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or OpenTofu is also essential. Desirable qualifications include experience with Kubernetes or OpenStack, GitHub Actions, build tools such as CMake, and modern observability tooling like Prometheus and Grafana.
