As a Senior Solutions Engineer on the Enterprise team at Motive, you will play a pivotal role in driving successful outcomes for enterprise customers. Collaborating closely with Account Executives, you will shape deal strategies, demonstrate the value of Motive's platform, and serve as a trusted advisor to both technical and business stakeholders. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and strong communication skills to effectively map customer challenges to Motive's solutions and influence purchasing decisions. Reporting directly to an Enterprise Solutions Engineering leader, you will work across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure customer needs are met while contributing to Motive's growth and strategic objectives.

In this role, your key responsibilities will include partnering with Enterprise Account Executives to develop deal strategies, conducting discovery conversations, and delivering impactful demonstrations that influence executive-level decisions. You will tailor demonstrations to resonate with technical, operational, and business audiences, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor to customers. Additionally, you will translate complex customer challenges into clear, compelling solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes, develop deep expertise in the competitive landscape to win strategic opportunities, and collaborate on RFIs and RFPs to position Motive as the preferred partner for enterprise organizations. Acting as a connector between Sales and cross-functional teams, you will ensure customer insights drive continuous improvement and innovation.

The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience supporting enterprise-level sales in a pre-sales or solutions engineering role, with a preference for backgrounds in SaaS and hardware. A bachelor's degree is preferred, with an advanced degree considered a plus. Experience in a customer-facing pre-sales field role with the flexibility and willingness to travel over 30% is essential. Deep knowledge of value-based selling frameworks and methodologies, such as MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, and Command of the Message, as well as solutions engineering methodologies like Demo2Win or Great Demo!, is required. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, demonstrated success in supporting complex solution sales within enterprise organizations, and experience with APIs, integrations, and technical solution design are also necessary.

Motive offers a comprehensive compensation package, with on-target earnings (base pay plus commissions) ranging from $160,000 to $200,000 USD.
