Senior Staff Engineer, Back-end Engineering, Fulfillment Center Core Systems (Global Operations Technology)

Coupang's Global Operations Technology (GOT) organization is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to lead the architecture and development of Fulfillment Center Core Systems. This role is pivotal in enhancing Coupang's logistics capabilities, ensuring rapid and reliable delivery of customer orders. The position is based in Seoul, South Korea.

The Senior Staff Engineer will be responsible for designing scalable and reliable fulfillment technologies, aligning technology roadmaps with stakeholders, and addressing technical challenges at the organizational level. Key duties include simplifying complex problems into actionable solutions, writing code for high-priority projects, identifying business and technology opportunities, adopting new technologies, recruiting and developing engineering talent, and driving automation and robotics initiatives.

Candidates should have over 15 years of experience in developing and operating backend services and web applications, with a proven track record of delivering large, complex systems. Expertise in designing large-scale distributed systems, object-oriented design, Java and Spring Framework development, and AWS service development is essential. Experience in improving code quality and a deep understanding of storage, data processing, and serving technologies are also required.
