Senior Systems Reliability Engineer

IEX is seeking a Senior Systems Reliability Engineer to join our team dedicated to building technology that advances capital markets. This role involves optimizing and automating processes to enhance the reliability, scalability, and maintainability of our trading platform. The ideal candidate will be a curious and technically proficient individual eager to delve into the intricacies of the stock market.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the technical operations of our trading platform, participating in system design and management, developing monitoring and automation tools, and contributing to change management and learning review processes. The role also involves troubleshooting across the entire technology stack—hardware, software, applications, and networks—and documenting configuration processes and policies.

Candidates should have experience with automation tools like Ansible, proficiency in Linux, Python, Bash, and Git, and a background in supporting large, complex, and distributed systems. Knowledge of host-side networking, packet-level network traffic analysis, TCP/IP stack, multicast, and data center workflows is essential. Familiarity with hardware such as Arista and Cisco switches, Corvil, Solarflare, and Mellanox is also required.
