Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst
ID.me is seeking a Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst to lead the technical tracking of adversaries targeting the identity verification ecosystem. This role involves developing and implementing intelligence strategies to proactively identify and mitigate threats, ensuring the security and integrity of ID.me's services. The position is based in McLean, Virginia, and is integral to the company's mission of providing secure digital identity solutions.
In this role, the analyst will take full ownership of an intelligence portfolio, tracking specific threat actors, fraud typologies, or ecosystems targeting ID.me and its partners. Responsibilities include setting collection strategies, conducting in-depth technical collection across various platforms, proactively hunting for emerging activities, producing comprehensive intelligence assessments, and operationalizing intelligence by collaborating with detection engineering, data science, and product teams. Additionally, the analyst will mentor junior team members and contribute to the advancement of the team's analytic methodologies.
Candidates should possess extensive experience in threat intelligence, with a strong background in technical collection and analysis. Proficiency in tracking and analyzing threat actors and fraud typologies is essential. The role requires expertise in conducting collection across deep and dark web forums, illicit marketplaces, encrypted messaging platforms, and closed communities. Strong analytical writing skills, the ability to produce clear and actionable intelligence assessments, and experience in operationalizing intelligence into detections and fraud signals are also required.
