Senior Vice President - Master Planning - Projects
JOB PURPOSE
•Manage master planning activities from pre-concept through to detailed masterplan for all government and Aldar Development projects
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Review master plan and detailed master plan submittals by the internal team and consultants.
•Provide support review and advisory services on master planning matters to Project Management during construction stage.
•Manage the selection and work of master planning consultants; Ensure quality, budget and time compliance of the consultant’s work in accordance with the service contract.
•Manage service contracts including preparing RFPs, and processing payments and variations.
•Evaluate and select proposals of master planning consultants with focus on quality insurance, budget and time compliance of the consultant’s work in accordance with the service contract and Aldar standards, e.g. Estimada and UPC AD 2030 vision
•Ensure key procurement contract variations arising from differences in project design raising major issues to related policies are addressed.
•Manage the master planning approval requirements with external stakeholders and government entities during design phases for government projects
•Ensure provision of constant progress updates and monthly written reports on construction progress, major issues or conflicts and anticipated roadblocks whenever appropriate
•Periodically update any change to the master plan design, timeline and cost to Development Management and other Operations teams such as by issuing Monthly Progress Reports (MPR). Assess impact on all delivery activities and minimize financial and operational impact.
•Identify deviations to original master planning and adopt the master plan design, timeline and/or cost accordingly together with Development Management
•Provide regular reporting on construction progress including issues and mitigation strategies
•Ensure the issuance of all required government permits and construction licenses.
