Smart Contract Engineer
Ritual is seeking an experienced Smart Contract Engineer to join our dynamic team focused on building a sovereign execution layer for AI. As a key member of our engineering department, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of open-source smart contract libraries and frameworks, playing a pivotal role in advancing our AI-native blockchain solutions.
In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining core smart contract frameworks and libraries, managing the entire smart contract release lifecycle from architecture to post-release, and spearheading research into novel smart contract functionalities beyond the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, researchers, product managers, and operations staff, will be essential to create best-in-class products.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong mastery of software engineering principles, proficiency in Solidity and at least one other programming language, and a deep understanding of the EVM and its variations across L1/L2/L3 environments. Familiarity with network node architectures such as geth, reth, op-stack, and orbit is required, along with experience in smart contract code audits and strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in written communication.
